What was "The Leung Grocery Store" has now been transformed into an eclectic classic mix of architecture reflecting the diverse and ethnic cultures that once supported the historic mining community of Cumberland over the last hundred years.
The Original Building
The original building, built in 1895, still remains attached to the back of what was once the grocery store main building and where members of the respected Leung family were born, lived and operated the Grocery Store.
The Distinctive Features
The ornate Tuscan and Tudor windows were added testament to the Cumberland name, the Irish, English, Scotts and Italian Communities.
The front entrance remains somewhat similar to the original with exception of it's placement.
The character above the bar means "Leung".
The red doors mean "Welcome or Good Luck"
The French Cafe chairs and the Bistro Bar serve to commemorate the diverse history of the historic Cumberland area...
